miniCOCKPIT is a passion-driven project by Aerospace Training Solutions Limited (AerospaceTS) based in Hong Kong. It's more than a company; it's a labor of love, infused with unwavering professionalism and expert knowledge.

Our story takes flight when two airline captains, Chit Lau and Geoffrey Wu, faced the heart-wrenching reality of losing their wings. The airline they'd dedicated their lives to, Cathay Dragon, a subsidiary of the renowned Cathay Pacific Airlines, ceased operations during the unforgiving COVID-19 pandemic. Instead of surrendering to idleness, Chit and Geoffrey embarked on an inspiring journey. They decided to nurture their profound connection with aviation and established a flight simulation company. This endeavor combined their 15 years of commercial aviation knowledge with skills in graphic design, 3D modeling, electronics, and programming.

Their first monumental project was the creation of a 1:1 touch-screen civil aircraft simulator, meticulously crafted after the Airbus A320 series. This was no ordinary project; it was a tribute to the aircraft that had been their daily companion in the skies. After relentless dedication, they achieved a remarkable milestone - securing an official license from Airbus, the very manufacturer of the real aircraft.

The initial two years saw the formation of a team of dedicated professional pilots. They came together to share their aviation stories and experiences with the community through the simulator. The outcome was heartwarming - while aspiring members of the community experienced the thrill and intricacies of commercial flying. The pilots themselves too, found solace in staying grounded, maintaining their proficiency, and keeping the spirit of aviation alive.

With a robust capital foundation, the team ventured into their second phase of development. It was the birth of an autopilot module for flight simulation, focusing on the Airbus Flight Control Unit. A new brand emerged - miniCOCKPIT. Their unwavering commitment was clear: to create the world's finest home-use flight simulation hardware.

In 2022, AerospaceTS was honored with the Hong Kong Information and Communications Technology Award (Digital Entertainment Grand Award and Interactive Design Award), a recognition of their achievements.

In 2023, AerospaceTS graduated from the Cyberport Incubation Programme, an entrepreneurial journey supported by the Hong Kong Government. Their crowning achievement was the Kickstarter campaign for the miniFCU. The campaign drew an astonishing 4,017 backers who believed in their dream.

Today, AerospaceTS has established an education center, home to a full-shell cockpit Airbus simulator in the heart of Hong Kong. This center isn't just about flight; it's about kindling a fascination for civil aviation and providing professional training to organizations such as the Civil Aviation Department of Hong Kong. Meanwhile, Chit and Geoffrey are back where they belong - in the sky, their second home.
